COVID-19

“Walk together children, don’t you get weary ….”
Negro Spiritual

Dear Lourdes Members and Friends,

In the interest of health and safety during the COVID-19 pandemic, we’re suspending full capacity Masses (limited attendance mass has started. Please enter our lottery to attend in person mass on Sundays at 10:30am) and meetings at Lourdes until further notice. The office staff and I will work remotely and be available during regular office hours via email and phone. While this crisis of pandemic proportions has caused us to stay physically distant from one another, we remain close to each other in the power and presence of the Sweet Holy Spirit!

As the spiritual says, “Walk together children …!” This is a time to be together and reach out to one another. I encourage those of you who are leaders of various teams, ministries, groups, etc. to reach out to your members and connect. This Lent we are challenged to be together in new and creative ways.

To that end, we have many options for prayer and community. We’ll be updating you with these in the coming days. You’ll see a weekly message available each Sunday. We will share resources for personal and family prayer. Sunday School and Teen Ministry will make special resources available.

We continue to hold one another in prayer remembering that Jesus, Our Brother, Our Healer, Our Savior, and Our Lord is with us 24/7 365. That means we’re never alone, Church. And that’s GOOD NEWS!

Make sure that you take care of yourselves and your loved ones and stay safe. Stay tuned to your email (Flocknote), Facebook, and lourdesatlanta.org.

With love in Christ,
Father Jeffery
