Boomers & Friends is a fellowship among other Boomer age and a little younger age OLL parishioners, and their friends. We meet up at least once a month for a social gathering to check on each other and make sure all is well, especially for Boomers who may not have family in the area. Boomers are born between 1948 – 1964, around 76 – 61 years old. Friends born between 1965 – 1975, around the 50ish age. We have some people that are older than boomers and we have some young people that show up younger than friends.
We also support the other Lourdes Ministries by participating in their yearly fundraisers and activities along with any Church activities that may need volunteers. The Boomers helped organize the Church Picnic in September 2024, and we wanted to create an online documentation of what and how to organize the Picnic so we can pass it along to the churches younger generation, so they can keep our church traditions going.
