Dear Lourdes Family:
The Church and indeed the Archdiocese of Atlanta are celebrating 50th Anniversary of the Vatican II document “Nostra Aetate”—which recognizes the special relationship between Catholicism and Judaism and also recognizes the “truth” in other religions/beliefs like Islam, Buddhism, etc. In the spirit of this great celebration, I will embark on a pilgrimage with friends from three Abrahamic faiths: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. We’ll travel to Morocco and southern Spain. Please join me on the journey with your prayers and blessings. Know that I’ll carry you with me in prayer and most especially in my heart!
By the way, the Archdiocese has graciously donated 20 complimentary tickets to Lourdes members interested in attending the Nostra Aetate “Jubliee” on Wednesday, October 28. The tickets will be distributed on a “First come, first serve “ basis. Please call the church office if you are interested in attending.
